The elgar road veterinary hospital
is now part of the Kitten Adoption Scheme. The adoption scheme has been implemented in many veterinary hospitals
across Australia and aims to find new homes for stray and unwanted kittens. Many kittens are unfortunately euthinased
in shelters when they catch cat flu. This is aimed to stop the spread of this virus to other kittens and cats in
the shelter. The scheme hopes to minimise they chances of cat flu being caught by kittens and minimise the numbers
that are put to sleep. It is also hoped that more kittens will find homes more quickly through exposure to more
pet owners that visit veterinary clinics.
The kittens are adopted for $150- which includes all kitten vaccinations, worming, flea treatment and desexing.
You will also be given a starter kit donated by "Whiskas" and Uncle Ben's with a cardboard carry box,
bowls and dry food to set up and start your new kitten on its journey at your home.
The elgar road veterinary hospital has already helped to find new homes for a number of kittens, including Leonard,
Jasper, Mitch, Lavendar, Fletch, Ruby, Weasel, Sam, India.
